EMDR Intensives for New Moms

Emdr Intensives For New Moms Postpartum

Rapid Healing in the Postpartum

Hey, new mama.
We see you. You’re SO tired. Trying to keep it together in your cozy clothes, a breastfeeding bra, a messy topknot, maybe sporting some spit-up. Post-birth chic!

Life as a new mom can be incredibly hard, and what makes it even harder is when nobody seems to understand. So many of us have our first baby and just think… WHY didn’t anyone tell me? Why aren’t we talking about the realities and challenges of this first week, month, year? And where on Earth is that village everyone keeps talking about?

It’s easy to feel invisible or alone after the journey through pregnancy. To become disconnected following a disappointing delivery experience. To be deeply affected by a birth that was scary or painful, or one that brought old trauma to the surface. Any of these experiences can make healing, and connecting with your baby, harder than it needs to be.

We’re with you. The struggle is real, and your experience is 100% valid.

Fortunately, there are some great options to help you feel, heal, and get into the swing of parenting faster than weekly sessions. While you might have already heard of EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), you may not know about EMDR Intensives specifically designed for new moms.

EMDR Intensives Offer a Retreat-Like Experience

EMDR Intensives give you time and space to focus on more rapid healing and growth… in a way that fits into your busy schedule as a new mom.

Think: Months worth of therapy in the course of just a few days. During that time, you’ll partner with a therapist to identify and process any past traumas or negative experiences that may be impacting your ability to fully enjoy motherhood.

What’s great about EMDR is that it doesn’t require you to rehash your traumas in the same way that traditional talk therapy does. Instead, you’ll work with your therapist to identify the negative beliefs, emotions, and physical sensations that are associated with your past experiences, and use a variety of techniques to help your brain process and reorganize that information in a healthier way.

After engaging in healing with an EMDR Intensive, you may find that you’re better able to manage the rollercoaster of new motherhood, and that it’s easier to feel present and connected with your baby. It’s a powerful tool for your own healing and growth, and for creating a solid foundation for your family.

So, if you’re a new mom who’s feeling raw, depressed, anxious, or overwhelmed, consider an EMDR Intensive. You deserve to feel your best, and to enjoy all of the amazing moments that come with having a baby!

You can heal. You can thrive. We can help.
