A bit about me…

As a therapist, I find it truly remarkable and humbling to be able to bear witness to the beautiful complexity of the human experience. Moreover, this role enables me to be in a constant state of learning as I engage with my clients and discover new ways to connect with them. I derive immense satisfaction from creating a secure environment where individuals can delve into their past, navigate their present, and envision their future. This safe space allows for collaborative problem-solving, empowering my clients to find their voice, embrace self-empowerment, and reflect on their remarkable resilience.

As a therapist, I aim to create an environment where my clients feel both validated and challenged. Therefore, I often encourage them to step outside of their comfort zones and explore new experiences. It’s in these moments of discomfort, coupled with the appropriate level of support, that true personal growth can occur. In essence, my role is akin to that of a spotter while my clients are the ones lifting the weight.

Self-care is my mantra for most things. Bad day? Self-care. Good day? Self-care. Stressed? Self-care. Bored? Self-care. You can’t really overdo it, so I try to practice what I preach. Of course, I enjoy spending time with my husband, my family, and my friends. But, when I truly need to recharge my batteries, I need to be by myself to make that happen. I enjoy taking my dog for long walks and listening to music or podcasts. I propagate succulents and occasionally dabble with puzzles when the moment strikes me. Some of my favorite things are reading, exercising, yoga, kayaking and playing the ukulele.
