Making Meaning After Infertility Program At Bright Spot Counseling

Move from Grief to Acceptance, Rediscover Joy, and Create a Life Full of Meaning

Have you faced the difficult decision to stop pursuing family-building after infertility? If so, you’re not alone. At Bright Spot Counseling, we understand the profound impact that infertility can have on your life. While there is extensive support available during fertility treatment, many find themselves feeling isolated once they decide to discontinue their journey. That’s why we’ve created Making Meaning After Infertility, an independent study designed to help individuals and couples navigate life beyond fertility treatments and embrace a childless future with meaning and purpose.

Who is this program for?

This independent study is specifically designed for individuals and couples who have definitively chosen to stop pursuing fertility treatments and are ready to embrace life without children. The program is delivered asynchronously, allowing participants to engage at their own pace, either individually or with a partner who may have different availability. This program is not suited for those still navigating fertility challenges or uncertain about their next steps, but rather for those ready to move forward and seek guidance in making meaning after infertility.

What can I expect?

12 Self-Paced Sessions

A combination of videos, guided exercises, and reflective practices to support healing and personal growth.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

A therapeutic approach that helps you accept difficult emotions and commit to living a meaningful life, even in the face of pain and loss.

Mindfulness Practices

Techniques to stay present, calm, and centered as you navigate intense emotions and make space for acceptance.

Building a Meaningful Life Without Children

Identifying what truly matters to you and committing to living a life aligned with your values, even when your family looks different than you envisioned.

This program provides an opportunity to heal, rediscover joy, and move toward a fulfilling future. By investing in yourself, you are not only building a support system of understanding but also reclaiming your sense of purpose.

For couples experiencing relational challenges related to ending fertility treatments, we offer supplemental support with our couples’ therapist, Julie Ohana. Julie can help couples navigate this sensitive time, offering additional tools and insights to strengthen their relationship and move forward together.

At Bright Spot Counseling, we believe in providing continuous support as you transition to a childless life after ending fertility treatments. Through Making Meaning After Infertility, you will explore and process complex emotions, develop mindfulness and self-compassion, and create a life full of meaning and fulfillment.
