Medication for Anxiety and Depression

Are you tired of going to doctor’s appointments and having your concerns blown off? Are you anxious, exhausted, depressed or living in a panic and you’re having trouble feeling heard by your prescriber? You’re not alone. Lots of our clients are done being pushed aside, having their concerns minimized or being shamed for struggling. It shouldn’t be so hard to get medication for anxiety, depression or other mental health struggles.

Meet Laila. Laila is the gentle, open and wise and will truly take the time to help you chart a course with or without medications that feels safe and supportive for you.

Supportive Prescribing for Anxiety Without Pressure or Judgment

Laila Marashi brings warmth, skill, and deep clinical training to her work as a psychiatric prescriber. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Michigan State University and is currently completing her doctoral degree at MSU. In addition, she holds dual certifications as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) and a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), allowing her to provide medication management across the lifespan.

Laila began her career in pediatrics, where she learned the importance of listening closely and building trust with both patients and families. Over time, she expanded her practice to include children, adolescents, and adults. Because of her diverse background, she has worked in a wide range of clinical settings. Today, she especially values outpatient care, where she can offer personalized, collaborative treatment—including medication for anxiety and depression.

In her psychiatry practice, Laila treats pediatric, adolescent, and adult clients across a wide range of mental health concerns. She works closely with patients—and, when appropriate, their families—to create individualized treatment plans that reflect each person’s medical history, goals, and lived experience. Her approach remains holistic, patient-centered, and grounded in respect.

When appropriate, Laila views medication for anxiety or depression as one part of a larger healing process. She supports clients’ overall wellbeing and collaborates closely with therapists and other members of Bright Spot’s care team to provide integrated mental health care.
