Family conflict can make day-to-day responsibilities feel like emotional quicksand- impossible to trudge through. Do you feel stuck in the eye of the hurricane of trauma and relationship conflict and feel as if there’s no way out? Maybe you’re sick of the stuffy “how does that feel?”-blank-stare-therapist sitting across from you while your life falls to pieces.

Meet Irene. Irene takes an eclectic approach with her clients, one grounded in humor, the body-brain connection and authenticity. Irene comes with a wealth of knowledge and life experience that she taps into while treating the challenges her clients are facing every day. In addition to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and meditation, Irene uses movement to get in touch with the body and release the mind from the constraints of traditional therapy practice.

Irene identifies as a flow-enthusiast, engaging in activities like hula hooping, fire hooping, and fire eating. Don’t fret- she may not ask you to do those things- but she can bring a similar energy to her practice that will help you unlock your potential by using therapeutic movement. Irene also uses a combination of EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and Polyvagal Modalities to support her clients in healing trauma and relationships.

Irene is quirky, fun and outside of the box. Her clients report feeling liberated and seen after talking with her- approaching their treatment from an unconventional perspective, one that’s not only evidence based, but not something you can get just anywhere.
